DEEP SOUL is...

More than photography...

Over the past two years I have started exploring other mediums beyond photography.

I learned Gel Printing and enjoy playing with image transfers and creating abstract art using this process.

I became interested in the idea of embroidering on my photos and using embroidery to tell a new story with "old" photos - photos I had taken years ago suddenly became new and took on deeper meanings when ripped and embroidered...the story of brokenness and the desire for repair.

Then in the fall of 2025 I took a workshop using textiles and embroidery to tell the story of what home meant to me. It was my first time working with textiles, and so my piece wasn't a masterpiece, but the process of creating the piece was much more emotional than I expected, and helped bring clarity, understanding and healing.

I look forward to continuing my journey in these and possibly other mediums. Each gives new insights and the ability to tell new stories or old stories in new, fuller ways.
